This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the FB Album Downloader Chrome extension (the “Extension”). The Chrome Web Store extension ID is cgkgapbmopldaebaecjjgiopdlkkaolo.
This page explains what Facebook album and photo data the Extension reads or processes, what stays on your device, what may be sent to Facebook or Meta from your browser, what Plugins Hub does not collect, and how support or optional account-related information is handled.
This privacy policy is provided by Plugins Hub. For questions, contact contact@pluginshub.site.
FB Album Downloader is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads, or any other Meta product.
1. What the Extension Does
FB Album Downloader helps users save Facebook albums and photos that they choose to access in their own browser. Depending on the page and feature you use, the Extension can:
- Download all supported Facebook albums visible to your browser
- Download a selected Facebook album
- Download individual Facebook photos from an album
- Detect album names, photo lists, image resources, thumbnails, and available high-quality image URLs
- Open or traverse Facebook album and photo pages as part of a download task you start
- Save photos to your device through Chrome’s download flow
- Organize downloaded photos into local folders using the album names visible on Facebook
- Track local download progress, retries, and task status while a download is running
The Extension is designed to run locally in your browser. You do not provide your Facebook password to Plugins Hub or to the Extension. If an album or photo is visible only to your Facebook account, friends, group membership, page permissions, or browser session, you must be signed in to Facebook in your browser for the Extension to access that content.
2. Facebook Album and Photo Data Processed Locally
When you start an album or photo download, the Extension may read or process data from Facebook pages that you open or choose to download. This may include:
- Facebook album URLs, photo URLs, profile URLs, page URLs, and related Facebook navigation URLs
- Album names, album IDs, photo IDs, image IDs, profile or page names, and visible owner names when they are available on the page
- Photo thumbnails, full-size image URLs, high-resolution image URLs, CDN resource URLs, and related technical media metadata
- Visible captions, timestamps, file labels, page text, or other visible metadata when needed to identify or name a downloaded photo
- Browser page structure, buttons, links, dialogs, and scrolling state needed to locate photos and place Extension controls
- Folder names, sanitized filenames, download queue state, progress state, retry state, and download results
Purpose: this data is used to find the album or photos you selected, resolve the best available image resources, name files and folders, show progress, and save the selected files to your device.
Storage and handling: album and photo data is processed in browser memory while the Extension is running. Some operational data may be stored locally in Chrome extension storage so the Extension can remember settings, maintain task state, avoid duplicate work, or show progress.
Sharing: Plugins Hub servers do not receive, upload, store, host, review, sell, or share the Facebook albums, photos, photo URLs, album lists, album names, captions, filenames, folder names, or downloaded files processed by the Extension.
3. Downloads Stay on Your Device
When you use the Extension to download Facebook albums or photos, the files are saved on your device through Chrome’s local download feature. Plugins Hub does not receive a copy of the downloaded files.
The Extension may use the album name or other visible Facebook text to create a local folder name. That organization happens on your device and is not reported to Plugins Hub.
Downloaded files remain under your control. You are responsible for how you use, store, share, or delete downloaded photos. Please only download content that you own, that is public, or that you otherwise have permission to save.
4. Requests to Facebook and Meta
To display Facebook pages and retrieve the album or photo resources you choose to download, your browser may send requests directly to Facebook, Meta, or Facebook CDN domains such as facebook.com, m.facebook.com, and fbcdn.net.
Those requests may include Facebook cookies, account session status, page identifiers, album identifiers, photo identifiers, pagination details, request parameters, and media URLs required by Facebook to return the content visible to your browser.
These requests are made directly between your browser and Facebook or Meta services. Plugins Hub does not proxy those requests through Plugins Hub servers and does not receive Facebook cookies, Facebook authentication tokens, Facebook passwords, or downloaded photo files.
Your use of Facebook remains subject to Facebook’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, permissions, and technical controls.
5. Local Extension Storage
The Extension may store limited operational information locally in your browser or on your device. Local storage may include:
- Extension settings and preferences
- Current task ID, active task state, and download progress
- Album or photo download queue information
- Cached lookup results or page-processing state used to continue a task
- Retry, pause, resume, completion, or error status
- Local download history or recently processed album references
- Subscription or license status if your installed version includes paid features
- Authentication or session tokens if you choose to sign in for paid features
This information remains on your device unless you choose to send it to us, such as by including screenshots or troubleshooting details in a support request.
You can delete local Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s storage in Chrome. Downloaded photos remain on your device until you delete them.
6. Information Sent to Plugins Hub
FB Album Downloader does not send Facebook albums, photos, album lists, photo lists, image files, media URLs, captions, folder names, or downloaded files to Plugins Hub.
The Extension’s album and photo downloading features are designed to run locally in your browser. The only information that may be sent to Plugins Hub relates to optional account access, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and support:
Pricing requests. If your installed version displays paid plans, the Extension or website may request current product and pricing information from Plugins Hub so plan details can be shown.
Subscription checks. If you use Pro or paid features, the Extension may send your email address and the relevant product ID to Plugins Hub to check whether your subscription or license is active.
Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google for account or paid-feature access, Plugins Hub receives your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We use this information to identify your account and connect it to subscription access.
Payments. Paid subscriptions or purchases may be processed by Stripe. Plugins Hub does not store full payment card numbers. We may receive and store Stripe-related records such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, product or plan IDs, payment status, renewal dates, invoice status, and transaction status.
Support. If you contact support, we may receive your email address, name, message, attachments, screenshots, browser or Extension version details, troubleshooting details, and any other information you choose to provide.
7. Information Plugins Hub Does Not Collect Through Its Servers
Plugins Hub does not collect, upload, host, sell, or review the following through its servers during normal Extension use:
- Downloaded Facebook albums, photos, thumbnails, image files, or generated download folders
- Lists of Facebook albums or photos detected by the Extension
- Facebook album names, photo captions, timestamps, owner names, profile names, page names, or album/photo URLs processed for downloads
- Facebook media URLs, full-size image URLs, CDN URLs, or generated local blob URLs
- Facebook comments, reactions, friend lists, group member lists, messages, private communications, or private account data unrelated to the download task you start
- Your Facebook password, Facebook authentication cookies, or Facebook login credentials
- Your general browsing history outside the Facebook pages where the Extension is providing its album and photo download functionality
- Advertising identifiers, cross-site tracking identifiers, or behavioral profiling data
Plugins Hub does not use the Extension for advertising tracking, personalized advertising, behavioral profiling, data brokerage, resale of user data, or AI training on downloaded Facebook photos.
8. How User Data Is Used
The Extension uses locally processed Facebook album and photo data only to provide the album and photo download features selected by you, including:
- Detecting supported Facebook albums and photos
- Showing Extension controls on supported Facebook pages
- Opening, scrolling, or traversing album and photo pages for a task you start
- Resolving available high-quality image resources
- Downloading selected files
- Saving files to your device
- Organizing photos into folders based on album names
- Managing task progress, retries, pause/resume behavior, and local settings
Plugins Hub uses account, pricing, subscription, payment, and support information only to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension and related services
- Display current pricing and product information
- Verify subscription or license status and enable paid features
- Process purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, invoices, and payment records through Stripe
- Authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, and address misuse
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, and recordkeeping obligations
- Enforce applicable terms and policies
Because Plugins Hub does not receive Facebook albums, photos, or downloaded files, we do not use that content for any purpose.
9. How User Data Is Shared
Plugins Hub does not sell user data. Plugins Hub does not share Facebook albums, photos, album lists, photo lists, media URLs, downloaded files, filenames, or folder names because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub.
The following parties may receive data as described below:
- Facebook, Meta, and Facebook CDN domains. When you browse Facebook or use the Extension to fetch album pages, photo pages, or image resources, your browser sends requests directly to Facebook.com, m.facebook.com, fbcdn.net, or related Meta services. Those requests may include Facebook cookies, account session status, request parameters, page IDs, album IDs, photo IDs, pagination details, and media URLs needed by Facebook to return the requested content.
- Plugins Hub backend at pluginshub.site. Receives product/pricing requests and, if you sign in or use paid features, your email address and product ID for subscription checks. Plugins Hub does not receive Facebook album or photo content.
- Google Sign-In. Provides optional sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google provides Plugins Hub with your email address, name, and profile photo.
- Stripe. Processes purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, invoices, and payment status. Plugins Hub does not store full credit card numbers.
- Supabase. May provide account, authentication, or subscription-related backend records used by Plugins Hub.
- Gmail and Zoho Mail. Used for support and account-related email communications.
- Chrome and the local browser environment. Chrome stores extension data locally or in Chrome sync storage according to your browser settings, and Chrome receives download URLs, filenames, and folder paths through the local downloads API so files can be saved on your device.
We may also disclose limited account, payment, or support information if required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Plugins Hub, users, or others.
10. Chrome Extension Permissions
The Extension uses browser permissions only to provide its visible Facebook album and photo download features. Depending on the Extension version, permissions may be used to:
- Access Facebook pages where the Extension is active
- Add download buttons or controls to Facebook album and photo pages
- Read visible Facebook page content needed to identify albums, photos, image resources, and download status
- Open, update, or monitor tabs involved in a download task you start
- Start browser downloads selected by you
- Store Extension settings, cached results, task status, and subscription status locally
- Communicate with Plugins Hub services for pricing, sign-in, or subscription checks if your installed version includes paid features
The Extension does not use browser permissions to track unrelated browsing activity, collect unrelated webpage content, monitor websites where it is not providing Facebook album download functionality, or send unrelated browsing history to Plugins Hub.
11. Limited Use Disclosure
FB Album Downloader uses user data only to provide or improve its single purpose: helping users download Facebook albums and photos they choose to access and save.
The Extension does not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, data brokerage, resale, credit eligibility, lending, employment decisions, or unrelated profiling.
Plugins Hub does not allow humans to read Facebook album or photo content processed by the Extension because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub. If you contact support and choose to send screenshots, file names, logs, or other troubleshooting details, support personnel may review the information you provide only to help with your request, investigate abuse or security issues, comply with law, or satisfy other permitted operational needs.
12. Data Retention
Local Extension data remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored Extension data from your browser.
Downloaded photos and folders are saved on your device and remain there until you delete them.
Plugins Hub retains server-side account and subscription records for as long as needed to provide paid access, process payments, maintain business records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support history, and satisfy business or legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, Plugins Hub deletes or anonymizes it where reasonably practicable.
13. Your Choices and Controls
You choose which Facebook albums or photos to process with the Extension. If you do not want the Extension to process an album, photo, profile, page, or Facebook view, do not run the Extension on that page or item.
You can:
- Stop, pause, resume, or cancel supported download tasks in the Extension UI
- Delete downloaded photos and folders from your device
- Clear local Extension data through Chrome settings
- Uninstall the Extension to remove local extension storage
- Sign out of the Extension if you signed in
- Manage Google connected-app access in your Google account settings
- Contact Plugins Hub to request deletion of server-side account or subscription records, subject to legal, tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-resolution retention requirements
14. Security
Facebook album and photo downloading is designed to happen locally in your browser. Plugins Hub uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the limited account, subscription, payment-related, and support information processed by our services.
If user data is transmitted to Plugins Hub for account, subscription, payment, or support purposes, it is transmitted using secure connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Third-Party Platform Notice
FB Album Downloader works with Facebook albums and photos selected by users. Facebook, Meta, and Facebook CDN services are not operated or controlled by Plugins Hub.
Your use of Facebook remains subject to Facebook’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, and permissions. The Extension does not give you ownership of third-party content and does not grant permission to use content in ways prohibited by law, copyright rules, or platform terms.
16. Children’s Privacy
The Extension and related services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them. Plugins Hub does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact contact@pluginshub.site and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information where required by law.
17. Changes to This Policy
Plugins Hub may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised version on this page.
If we make material changes to how we collect, use, store, or share personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
