This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Post Exporter Chrome extension, also described as IG Post Exporter or IG Posts Scraper (the “Extension”). This page explains what Instagram post data the Extension processes, what stays on your device, what may be sent to Plugins Hub, and how limited account, subscription, payment, and support information is handled.
This page is the privacy policy for the Post Exporter / IG Post Exporter extension. For questions about this policy, contact Plugins Hub at contact@pluginshub.site.
Post Exporter is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Instagram, Meta, Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, or any other third-party platform.
1. What the Extension Does
Post Exporter helps users export public Instagram post information to a CSV file for analysis in tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, or other analytics workflows. Depending on the feature you choose to use, the Extension can:
- Export posts from a public Instagram profile
- Export Instagram photos, thumbnails, video posts, reels, and video metadata
- Export captions, post descriptions, dates, timestamps, and post URLs
- Export engagement metrics such as like counts, comment counts, comment-disabled status, and video view counts
- Export owner profile information, including owner username and owner profile URL
- Export media resource fields such as thumbnail, cover image URL, display resource, and original resource URL
- Save the results as a CSV file on your device
The Extension is designed to run from your browser. You do not need to provide your Instagram password to Plugins Hub or to the Extension. You may need to be signed in to Instagram in your browser to view Instagram pages or public data that Instagram makes available to your account.
2. Instagram Post Data Processed Locally
When you enter an Instagram username or start an export, the Extension may read and process public Instagram post data needed to create the CSV file. This may include:
- Instagram username entered for export
- Public profile URL and visible owner profile information
- Post ID and post URL
- Whether a post is a video or reel
- Video view count
- Like count and comment count
- Whether comments are disabled
- Caption or post description
- Post date and timestamp
- Thumbnail, cover image URL, display resource, and original resource URL
- Public photo, video, and media metadata visible through Instagram pages or public data interfaces
- Browser page structure and technical response data needed to collect and format the export
This processing happens locally in your browser. Plugins Hub servers do not receive the Instagram usernames you export, the public profiles you analyze, the exported post lists, the CSV files, captions, media URLs, engagement metrics, thumbnails, or other Instagram post data processed by the Extension.
3. CSV Exports and Media Data Stay on Your Device
When you export Instagram post data, the CSV file is created for download on your device through your browser. Plugins Hub does not receive a copy of the CSV file.
The CSV may contain Instagram post data selected by the Extension, such as post IDs, captions, dates, owner usernames, post URLs, thumbnail URLs, cover image URLs, display resources, original resource URLs, likes, comments, and view counts. That exported CSV is controlled by you after it is created.
The Extension may request public Instagram post data and media resources from Instagram.com or Instagram media/CDN endpoints from your browser in order to create the export. Those requests are made as part of your interaction with Instagram and are subject to Instagram’s own terms and privacy practices. Plugins Hub does not proxy, host, or store the exported Instagram post data through its servers.
4. Local Extension Storage
The Extension may store information locally in your browser or on your device so that it can work correctly. Local storage may include:
- Extension settings and preferences
- Export history
- Cached export results
- Export queue or progress information
- Subscription status and product identifiers
- Authentication or session tokens if you sign in for paid features
This local Extension data remains on your device unless you choose to send information to us, such as by including screenshots or troubleshooting details in a support request. You can delete locally stored Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s browser storage.
5. Information Sent to Plugins Hub
Post Exporter does not send exported Instagram post data to Plugins Hub. The only information that may be sent to Plugins Hub relates to account access, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and support.
Pricing requests. The Extension or website may request current product and pricing information from Plugins Hub so plan details can be displayed.
Subscription checks. If you use Pro or paid features, the Extension may send your email address and product identifiers, such as Stripe product ID or Lemon product ID, to Plugins Hub to check whether your subscription is active. Plugins Hub may verify that subscription status through Supabase or the ExtFox Pro subscription service.
Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google for account or paid-feature access, Plugins Hub receives your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We use this information to identify your account and connect it to subscription access.
Payments. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe or through a subscription provider used for existing purchases. Plugins Hub does not store full payment card numbers. We may receive and store payment-related records such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, product or plan IDs, payment status, renewal dates, and transaction status.
Support. If you contact support, we may receive your email address, name, message, attachments, screenshots, browser or Extension version details, troubleshooting details, and any other information you choose to provide.
6. Information Plugins Hub Does Not Collect
Plugins Hub does not collect through its servers:
- Instagram usernames or public profiles you export
- CSV files generated by the Extension
- Instagram post IDs, post URLs, captions, dates, timestamps, owner usernames, or owner profile URLs exported by the Extension
- Like counts, comment counts, video view counts, comment-disabled status, or other engagement metrics exported by the Extension
- Instagram photos, thumbnails, videos, reels, cover image URLs, display resource URLs, or original resource URLs exported by the Extension
- Lists of posts collected from a public Instagram profile
- Your Instagram password, Instagram authentication cookies, or Instagram login credentials
- Your general browsing history outside the Instagram pages or export flow where you use the Extension
- Advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking data
Plugins Hub does not use the Extension for tracking, advertising, behavioral analytics, profiling, data brokerage, resale of user data, or AI processing of exported Instagram data.
7. How We Use Information
Plugins Hub uses the limited account, subscription, payment, pricing, and support information described above to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension and related services
- Display current pricing and product information
- Verify Free or Pro plan limits and paid feature access
- Process subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and payment records
- Authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, and address misuse
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, and recordkeeping obligations
- Enforce applicable terms and policies
Because Plugins Hub does not receive exported Instagram post data or CSV files, we do not use that content for any purpose.
8. How We Share Information
Plugins Hub does not sell user data. Plugins Hub does not share Instagram post exports, CSV files, public profile exports, captions, media URLs, engagement metrics, or other exported Instagram data because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub.
We may share limited account, subscription, payment, and support information with service providers that help operate the Extension and related services:
- Google Sign-In, for optional account authentication
- Stripe, for payments, billing, renewals, and subscription records
- ExtFox Pro subscription service, when needed to verify an existing IG Post Exporter subscription
- Supabase, for account and subscription-related records
- Gmail and Zoho Mail, for support and account-related email communication
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and service terms. Plugins Hub does not authorize these providers to use your information for advertising, cross-site tracking, or resale on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Plugins Hub, our users, or others.
9. Chrome Extension Permissions
The Extension uses browser permissions only to provide its visible Instagram post export features. Depending on the Extension version, permissions may be used to:
- Access Instagram.com pages or Instagram public data responses needed for the export feature
- Read public Instagram profile and post data needed to create the CSV export
- Process post fields such as captions, dates, URLs, owner username, media URLs, and engagement metrics
- Start browser downloads selected by the user
- Store Extension settings, cached results, export status, and subscription status locally
- Communicate with Plugins Hub servers for pricing and subscription checks
The Extension does not use browser permissions to track unrelated browsing activity or collect content from websites where the Extension is not providing its Instagram post export functionality.
10. Data Retention
Local Extension data remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored Extension data from your browser.
Plugins Hub retains server-side account and subscription records for as long as needed to provide paid access, process payments, maintain business records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support history, and satisfy business or legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, Plugins Hub deletes or anonymizes it where reasonably practicable.
11. Your Choices and Controls
You choose which Instagram username or public profile to export with the Extension. If you do not want the Extension to process a profile or post data, do not run the export for that profile.
You can delete local Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s storage through your browser settings.
If you signed in with Google, you can sign out of the Extension and manage connected app access in your Google account settings.
You may request deletion of server-side account or subscription records by contacting contact@pluginshub.site. We may need to retain certain information where required for payment processing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or legal obligations.
12. Security
Plugins Hub uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the limited personal information processed on our servers, including account, subscription, payment-related, and support information.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the type of information involved.
13. Third-Party Platform Notice
Post Exporter operates with Instagram.com pages and public Instagram data selected by users. Instagram and Meta are third-party platforms and are not operated or controlled by Plugins Hub.
Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, and permissions. The Extension does not give you ownership of third-party content and does not grant permission to use content in ways prohibited by law or platform rules.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Extension and related services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them. Plugins Hub does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact contact@pluginshub.site and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information where required by law.
15. Changes to This Policy
Plugins Hub may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised version on this page.
If we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
