Instagram Videos Downloader is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Instagram, Meta, Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, or any other third-party platform.
1. What the Extension Does
Instagram Videos Downloader helps users save Instagram reels and video posts from Instagram.com. Depending on the page and feature you choose to use, the Extension can:
- Download an individual Instagram reel or video post
- Download videos from a public Instagram profile
- Add download or scraping controls while you browse Instagram.com
- Organize downloaded videos into local folders by Instagram username
- Save downloaded files to your computer through the browser download flow
The Extension is designed for local use. Basic video downloading does not require a Plugins Hub account. You may need to be signed in to Instagram to view the Instagram pages or content you choose to download.
2. Instagram Data Processed Locally
To provide the download feature, the Extension may read and process data from Instagram pages that you open or choose to scrape. This may include:
- Instagram page URLs for reels, video posts, feeds, and public profiles
- Instagram usernames, display names, profile links, and profile page structure used to organize downloads
- Video post or reel identifiers needed to locate downloadable video files
- Video URLs, media file URLs, thumbnails, and related technical media metadata
- Captions, timestamps, and visible page text when needed to identify or label a selected video
- Browser page structure and buttons needed to place the Extension’s download controls on Instagram.com
This processing happens locally in your browser. Plugins Hub does not receive, upload, store, host, review, sell, or share the Instagram videos, video URLs, reels, profile video lists, captions, usernames, or downloaded files processed by the Extension.
3. Downloads Stay on Your Device
When you use the Extension to download a reel, video post, or public profile video library, the downloaded files are saved on your device through your browser. Plugins Hub does not receive a copy of the downloaded files.
The Extension may use the Instagram username visible on the page to create or suggest a local download folder name. That organization happens on your device and is not reported to Plugins Hub.
You are responsible for how you use and share downloaded files. Please only download content that is public, that you own, or that you have permission to save.
4. Local Extension Storage
The Extension may store information locally in your browser or on your device so that it can work correctly. Local storage may include:
- Extension settings and preferences
- Download or scraping history
- Cached video lookup results
- Local queue or progress information for profile video downloads
- Subscription status and product identifiers
- Authentication or session tokens if you sign in for paid features
This information remains on your device unless you choose to send it to us, such as by including screenshots or troubleshooting details in a support request. You can delete locally stored Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s browser storage.
5. Information Sent to Plugins Hub
Instagram Videos Downloader does not send scraped Instagram content to Plugins Hub. The only information that may be sent to Plugins Hub relates to account access, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and support.
Pricing requests. The Extension or website may request current product and pricing information from Plugins Hub so plan details can be displayed.
Subscription checks. If you use Pro or paid features, the Extension may send your email address and the relevant product ID to Plugins Hub to check whether your subscription is active.
Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google for account or paid-feature access, Plugins Hub receives your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We use this information to identify your account and connect it to subscription access.
Payments. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Plugins Hub does not store full payment card numbers. We may receive and store Stripe-related records such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, product or plan IDs, payment status, renewal dates, and transaction status.
Support. If you contact support, we may receive your email address, name, message, attachments, screenshots, browser or Extension version details, troubleshooting details, and any other information you choose to provide.
6. Information Plugins Hub Does Not Collect
Plugins Hub does not collect through its servers:
- Instagram reels or video files downloaded by the Extension
- Instagram video URLs, media URLs, thumbnails, or generated download files
- Lists of videos scraped from a public Instagram profile
- Instagram usernames or profile folders created locally by the Extension
- Instagram captions, comments, likes, follower lists, or account activity
- Your Instagram password, Instagram authentication cookies, or Instagram login credentials
- Your general browsing history outside the Instagram pages where you use the Extension
- Advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking data
Plugins Hub does not use the Extension for tracking, advertising, analytics, profiling, data brokerage, or resale of user data.
7. How We Use Information
Plugins Hub uses the limited account, subscription, payment, pricing, and support information described above to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension and related services
- Display current pricing and product information
- Verify Pro subscription status and enable paid features
- Process subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and payment records through Stripe
- Authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, and address misuse
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, and recordkeeping obligations
- Enforce applicable terms and policies
Because Plugins Hub does not receive Instagram videos or scraped Instagram content, we do not use that content for any purpose.
8. How We Share Information
Plugins Hub does not sell user data. Plugins Hub does not share Instagram videos, media URLs, profile video lists, downloaded files, or other scraped Instagram content because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub.
We may share limited account, subscription, payment, and support information with service providers that help operate the Extension and related services:
- Google Sign-In, for optional account authentication
- Stripe, for payments, billing, renewals, and subscription records
- Supabase, for account and subscription-related records
- Gmail and Zoho Mail, for support and account-related email communication
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and service terms. Plugins Hub does not authorize these providers to use your information for advertising, cross-site tracking, or resale on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Plugins Hub, our users, or others.
9. Chrome Extension Permissions
The Extension uses browser permissions only to provide its visible Instagram video download features. Depending on the Extension version, permissions may be used to:
- Access Instagram.com pages where the Extension is active
- Add download or scraping controls to Instagram pages
- Read visible Instagram page data needed to find video files
- Start browser downloads selected by the user
- Store Extension settings, cached results, and subscription status locally
- Communicate with Plugins Hub servers for pricing and subscription checks
The Extension does not use browser permissions to track unrelated browsing activity or collect content from websites where the Extension is not providing its Instagram video download functionality.
10. Data Retention
Local Extension data remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored Extension data from your browser.
Plugins Hub retains server-side account and subscription records for as long as needed to provide paid access, process payments, maintain business records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support history, and satisfy business or legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, Plugins Hub deletes or anonymizes it where reasonably practicable.
11. Your Choices and Controls
You choose which Instagram pages, reels, video posts, and public profiles to process with the Extension. If you do not want the Extension to process a page or video, do not run the Extension on that page.
You can delete local Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s storage through your browser settings.
If you signed in with Google, you can sign out of the Extension and manage connected app access in your Google account settings.
You may request deletion of server-side account or subscription records by contacting contact@pluginshub.site. We may need to retain certain information where required for payment processing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or legal obligations.
12. Security
Plugins Hub uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the limited personal information processed on our servers, including account, subscription, payment-related, and support information.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the type of information involved.
13. Third-Party Platform Notice
Instagram Videos Downloader operates on Instagram.com pages selected by users. Instagram and Meta are third-party platforms and are not operated or controlled by Plugins Hub.
Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, and permissions. The Extension does not give you ownership of third-party content and does not grant permission to use content in ways prohibited by law or platform rules.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Extension and related services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them. Plugins Hub does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact contact@pluginshub.site and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information where required by law.
15. Changes to This Policy
Plugins Hub may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised version on this page.
If we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
