This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Instagram Saved Posts Exporter Chrome extension, also described as Saved Posts Exporter, Instagram Saved Exporter, or Instagram Saved Posts Downloader (the “Extension”). The Chrome Web Store extension ID is opgclnehegaekpalmclkdaomgljpbadp.
This page explains what Instagram saved-post, media, and metadata the Extension reads or processes, what stays on your device, what may be sent to Instagram or Meta from your browser, what Plugins Hub does not collect, and how optional account, subscription, payment, and support information is handled.
This privacy policy is provided by Plugins Hub. For questions, contact contact@pluginshub.site.
Instagram Saved Posts Exporter is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, or any other Meta product.
1. What the Extension Does
Instagram Saved Posts Exporter helps users export and download Instagram saved posts that they choose to access in their own browser. Depending on the page and feature you use, the Extension can:
- Export your visible Instagram saved-post list from Instagram.com
- Download saved Instagram photos, videos, reels, thumbnails, and related media resources
- Export saved-post metadata such as captions, post URLs, usernames, timestamps, like counts, comment counts, media type, and owner profile information
- Save metadata files in supported formats such as CSV, JSON, or Excel-compatible files
- Organize downloaded media into local folders by username or another visible source name
- Save media files and metadata files to your device through Chrome’s download flow
- Track local export progress, pagination, retries, and task status while an export is running
- Check Free and Pro plan limits and subscription status if your installed version includes paid features
The Extension is designed to run locally in your browser. You do not provide your Instagram password to Plugins Hub or to the Extension. You may need to be signed in to Instagram in your browser to view and export the saved posts available to your Instagram account.
2. Instagram Saved-Post Data Processed Locally
When you start a saved-post export, media download, or metadata export, the Extension may read or process data from Instagram pages, responses, scripts, dialogs, or resources that your browser can access for your saved-post view. This may include:
- Instagram saved-post page URLs, post URLs, reel URLs, media URLs, profile URLs, and related navigation URLs
- Post IDs, media IDs, reel IDs, owner profile IDs, usernames, display names, and owner profile URLs
- Photo URLs, video URLs, reel URLs, thumbnail URLs, cover image URLs, display resources, original media resources, and related technical media metadata
- Captions, post descriptions, timestamps, like counts, comment counts, comment-disabled status, video or reel view data, media type, and other visible post metadata
- Saved-post list entries, pagination cursors, collection or saved-list state, and technical response data needed to continue the export
- Browser page structure, buttons, links, dialogs, scrolling state, and loading state needed to locate saved posts and place Extension controls
- CSV, JSON, or Excel column names, sanitized filenames, folder names, export queue state, progress state, retry state, completion state, and export results
Purpose: this data is used to collect the saved posts you selected, download selected media, create structured metadata files, name files and folders, show progress, and save the selected exports to your device.
Storage and handling: Instagram saved-post data, media data, and metadata are processed in browser memory while the Extension is running. Some operational data may be stored locally in Chrome extension storage so the Extension can remember settings, maintain task state, avoid duplicate work, enforce local limits, or show progress.
Sharing: Plugins Hub servers do not receive, upload, store, host, review, sell, or share the Instagram saved-post lists, downloaded media, media URLs, captions, engagement metrics, usernames, profile URLs, metadata files, filenames, folder names, pagination data, or export results processed by the Extension.
3. Media Downloads and Metadata Files Stay on Your Device
When you use the Extension to download saved Instagram posts or export metadata, the media files and metadata files are created for download on your device through Chrome’s local download feature. Plugins Hub does not receive a copy of those files.
Metadata files may contain fields selected or supported by the Extension, including post URLs, owner usernames, owner profile URLs, captions, timestamps, like counts, comment counts, media type, thumbnail URLs, cover image URLs, display resources, original resource URLs, and related saved-post fields. After the files are saved, you control how they are stored, imported, shared, or deleted.
The Extension may use the visible Instagram username or source name to create a local folder name or filename. That organization happens on your device and is not reported to Plugins Hub.
You are responsible for how you use exported Instagram saved-post information, including any import into spreadsheets, analytics tools, content libraries, research workflows, CRMs, or archives. Please only export or download content that you own, that is public, or that you otherwise have permission to save and use.
4. Requests to Instagram and Meta
To display Instagram saved posts and retrieve the media or metadata you choose to export, your browser may send requests directly to Instagram, Meta, or Instagram CDN domains such as instagram.com, i.instagram.com, cdninstagram.com, and fbcdn.net.
Those requests may include Instagram cookies, account session status, saved-post identifiers, post identifiers, profile identifiers, pagination details, request parameters, and media URLs required by Instagram to return the content visible to your browser.
These requests are made directly between your browser and Instagram or Meta services. Plugins Hub does not proxy those requests through Plugins Hub servers and does not receive Instagram cookies, Instagram authentication tokens, Instagram passwords, saved-post lists, downloaded media, or metadata files.
Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, permissions, and technical controls.
5. Local Extension Storage
The Extension may store limited operational information locally in your browser or on your device. Local storage may include:
- Extension settings and preferences
- Current task ID, active task state, and export or download progress
- Saved-post export queue information
- Cached lookup results, pagination state, or page-processing state used to continue a task
- Retry, pause, resume, completion, or error status
- Local export history or recently processed saved-post references
- Free or Pro plan usage counters and local limit state
- Subscription or license status if your installed version includes paid features
- Authentication or session tokens if you choose to sign in for paid features
This information remains on your device unless you choose to send it to us, such as by including screenshots, logs, sample metadata files, filenames, or troubleshooting details in a support request.
You can delete local Extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s storage in Chrome. Downloaded media files, metadata files, and local folders remain on your device until you delete them.
6. Information Sent to Plugins Hub
Instagram Saved Posts Exporter does not send Instagram saved-post lists, downloaded photos, downloaded videos, downloaded reels, metadata files, captions, engagement metrics, usernames, profile URLs, media URLs, filenames, folder names, or export results to Plugins Hub.
The Extension’s saved-post export, media download, and metadata export features are designed to run locally in your browser. The only information that may be sent to Plugins Hub relates to optional account access, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and support:
Pricing requests. If your installed version displays paid plans, the Extension or website may request current product and pricing information from Plugins Hub so plan details can be shown.
Subscription checks. If you use Pro or paid features, the Extension may send your email address and the relevant product ID to Plugins Hub to check whether your subscription or license is active.
Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google for account or paid-feature access, Plugins Hub receives your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We use this information to identify your account and connect it to subscription access.
Payments. Paid subscriptions or purchases may be processed by Stripe. Plugins Hub does not store full payment card numbers. We may receive and store Stripe-related records such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, product or plan IDs, payment status, renewal dates, invoice status, and transaction status.
Support. If you contact support, we may receive your email address, name, message, attachments, screenshots, browser or Extension version details, troubleshooting details, and any other information you choose to provide. Please avoid sending saved-post exports, metadata files, media files, or personal data unless needed for your support request.
7. Information Plugins Hub Does Not Collect Through Its Servers
Plugins Hub does not collect, upload, host, sell, or review the following through its servers during normal Extension use:
- Instagram saved-post lists exported by the Extension
- CSV, JSON, Excel, or other metadata files generated by the Extension
- Downloaded Instagram photos, videos, reels, thumbnails, cover images, or generated download folders
- Instagram post IDs, media IDs, post URLs, profile URLs, usernames, captions, timestamps, like counts, comment counts, view counts, or other engagement metrics exported by the Extension
- Instagram media URLs, thumbnail URLs, cover image URLs, display resource URLs, original resource URLs, CDN URLs, or generated local blob URLs
- Instagram comments, direct messages, follower lists, following lists, private communications, or private account data unrelated to the saved-post export task you start
- Your Instagram password, Instagram authentication cookies, or Instagram login credentials
- Your general browsing history outside the Instagram pages where the Extension is providing its saved-post export functionality
- Advertising identifiers, cross-site tracking identifiers, usage analytics for advertising, or behavioral profiling data
Plugins Hub does not use the Extension for advertising tracking, personalized advertising, behavioral profiling, data brokerage, resale of user data, spyware, or AI training on exported Instagram saved-post data.
8. How User Data Is Used
The Extension uses locally processed Instagram saved-post data only to provide the saved-post export, media download, and metadata export features selected by you, including:
- Detecting supported Instagram saved posts and media resources
- Showing Extension controls on supported Instagram pages
- Reading visible saved-post data for a task you start
- Continuing pagination or scrolling for the selected export
- Downloading selected photos, videos, reels, thumbnails, and media resources
- Creating CSV, JSON, or Excel-compatible metadata files
- Saving files to your device
- Organizing downloads into folders based on usernames or visible source names
- Managing task progress, retries, pause/resume behavior, local limits, and local settings
Plugins Hub uses account, pricing, subscription, payment, and support information only to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension and related services
- Display current pricing and product information
- Verify subscription or license status and enable paid features
- Process purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, invoices, and payment records through Stripe
- Authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, and address misuse
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, and recordkeeping obligations
- Enforce applicable terms and policies
Because Plugins Hub does not receive Instagram saved-post exports, media files, or metadata files, we do not use that content for any purpose.
9. How User Data Is Shared
Plugins Hub does not sell user data. Plugins Hub does not share Instagram saved-post lists, downloaded media, metadata files, captions, engagement metrics, usernames, profile URLs, media URLs, filenames, or folder names because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub.
The following parties may receive data as described below:
- Instagram, Meta, and Instagram CDN domains. When you browse Instagram or use the Extension to fetch saved-post pages, post pages, profile resources, photo resources, video resources, reel resources, or thumbnails, your browser sends requests directly to Instagram.com, i.instagram.com, cdninstagram.com, fbcdn.net, or related Meta services. Those requests may include Instagram cookies, account session status, request parameters, post IDs, profile IDs, pagination details, and media URLs needed by Instagram to return the requested content.
- Plugins Hub backend at pluginshub.site. Receives product/pricing requests and, if you sign in or use paid features, your email address and product ID for subscription checks. Plugins Hub does not receive Instagram saved-post export data.
- Google Sign-In. Provides optional sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google provides Plugins Hub with your email address, name, and profile photo.
- Stripe. Processes purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, invoices, and payment status. Plugins Hub does not store full credit card numbers.
- Supabase. May provide account, authentication, or subscription-related backend records used by Plugins Hub.
- Gmail and Zoho Mail. Used for support and account-related email communications.
- Chrome and the local browser environment. Chrome stores extension data locally or in Chrome sync storage according to your browser settings, and Chrome receives download URLs, filenames, and folder paths through the local downloads API so media and metadata files can be saved on your device.
We may also disclose limited account, payment, or support information if required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Plugins Hub, users, or others.
10. Chrome Extension Permissions
The Extension uses browser permissions only to provide its visible Instagram saved-post export and download features. Depending on the Extension version, permissions may be used to:
- Access Instagram pages where the Extension is active
- Add export, download, progress, or metadata controls to supported Instagram saved-post pages
- Read visible Instagram saved-post content needed to identify posts, media resources, metadata fields, filenames, folders, and export status
- Open, update, scroll, or monitor tabs involved in an export task you start
- Start browser downloads selected by you
- Store Extension settings, cached results, task status, local limits, and subscription status locally
- Communicate with Plugins Hub services for pricing, sign-in, or subscription checks if your installed version includes paid features
The Extension does not use browser permissions to track unrelated browsing activity, collect unrelated webpage content, monitor websites where it is not providing Instagram saved-post export functionality, or send unrelated browsing history to Plugins Hub.
11. Limited Use Disclosure
Instagram Saved Posts Exporter uses user data only to provide or improve its single purpose: helping users export saved Instagram posts, download selected saved-post media, and save selected saved-post metadata to local files.
The Extension does not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, data brokerage, resale, credit eligibility, lending, employment decisions, or unrelated profiling.
Plugins Hub does not allow humans to read Instagram saved-post data processed by the Extension because that content is not sent to Plugins Hub. If you contact support and choose to send screenshots, logs, sample metadata files, filenames, or other troubleshooting details, support personnel may review the information you provide only to help with your request, investigate abuse or security issues, comply with law, or satisfy other permitted operational needs.
12. Data Retention
Local Extension data remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored Extension data from your browser.
Downloaded media files, metadata files, and local folders are saved on your device and remain there until you delete them.
Plugins Hub retains server-side account and subscription records for as long as needed to provide paid access, process payments, maintain business records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support history, and satisfy business or legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, Plugins Hub deletes or anonymizes it where reasonably practicable.
13. Your Choices and Controls
You choose which Instagram saved posts, media files, metadata fields, or saved-post views to process with the Extension. If you do not want the Extension to process saved posts, media, metadata, profile data, or an Instagram view, do not run the Extension on that page or item.
You can:
- Stop, pause, resume, or cancel supported export tasks in the Extension UI
- Delete downloaded media files, metadata files, and folders from your device
- Clear local Extension data through Chrome settings
- Uninstall the Extension to remove local extension storage
- Sign out of the Extension if you signed in
- Manage Google connected-app access in your Google account settings
- Contact Plugins Hub to request deletion of server-side account or subscription records, subject to legal, tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-resolution retention requirements
14. Security
Instagram saved-post export, media download, and metadata export are designed to happen locally in your browser. Plugins Hub uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the limited account, subscription, payment-related, and support information processed by our services.
If user data is transmitted to Plugins Hub for account, subscription, payment, or support purposes, it is transmitted using secure connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Third-Party Platform Notice
Instagram Saved Posts Exporter works with Instagram saved posts selected by users. Instagram, Meta, and Instagram CDN services are not operated or controlled by Plugins Hub.
Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s own terms, privacy policy, account settings, and permissions. The Extension does not give you ownership of third-party content and does not grant permission to use exported data or downloaded content in ways prohibited by law, copyright rules, privacy rules, marketing rules, or platform terms.
16. Children’s Privacy
The Extension and related services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them. Plugins Hub does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact contact@pluginshub.site and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information where required by law.
17. Changes to This Policy
Plugins Hub may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised version on this page.
If we make material changes to how we collect, use, store, or share personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
